We have reviewed the carriage of Lithium batteries on all our aircraft and have decided on the following.
This is with effect from 23 Oct 2010.
UN3480 Lithium ion batteries
This applies to both Sections I and II of the Packing Instructions.
Allowed on all passenger and freighter aircraft.
MUST ONLY be loaded in the LOWER DECKS.
UN3481 Lithium ion batteries contained in equipment
UN3481 Lithium ion batteries packed with equipment
This applies to both Sections I and II of the Packing Instructions.
Allowed on all passenger and freighter aircraft.
May be loaded in both the main deck and lower deck.
UN3090 Lithium metal batteries
NOT ALLOWED on all passenger and freighter aircraft.
This applies to both Sections I and II of the Packing Instructions.
UN3091 Lithium metal batteries contained in equipment
UN3091 Lithium metal batteries packed with equipment
This applies to both Sections I and II of the Packing Instructions.
ALLOWED ONLY on freighters.
MUST ONLY be loaded in the MAIN DECK of the freighter.
